DATE: Thursday, October 19, 2006 Tree Ordinance Under AttackThe development industry has given a radical list of amendments to City Council. One amendment would allow clear-cutting of development sites and another would eliminate 9 native tree species. Developers seem to have the sympathy of certain council members, who are looking to cut the ordinance to appease complaints Council to vote soonCouncil will vote on these amendments November 2nd, but it is important for you to speak out now before the die is cast. If you cannot come on Thursday, send a message to your City Councilmember. About Citizens to be HeardCitizens to be Heard is a period set aside during each City Council meeting for San Antonians to address the Council on any topic.
