Daddy Gone Legs
I loved Daddy-Long-Legs “spiders” when I was a kid, and still do. They fascinate me, the way they bounce up and down and “cuddle” together.
I don’t ever see them around my house anymore. There used to be lots of them.
Anyway, I ran across these pictures of an old tree on what used to be the Voelcker Farm. This tree unfortunately sits on “Tract 1“, the portion of the farm to be developed by KBHome.

It’s my understanding that this home for thousands of Daddy-Long-Legses will be destroyed. Trees provide homes for an incredible variety of birds, mammals, insects, and other animals. Their destruction is capital punishment for innocent creatures.
