Monster Cottonwood sets state record

A cottonwood tree on Bob Carroll’s homeplace near Bremond is now officially the largest in Texas. The photo below was taken this past September.

The tree is located in Falls County on the Little Brazos River in the Carroll Bottom. It beat the standing state record for the last 26 years in Bandera County by 87 points.
